Stamparatus Suggestions Template

I recently demonstrated the marvelous Stamparatus tool to my group.  Everyone who came was given my “Sue’s Stamparatus Suggestions” Template.  On the front side of the template is Basic instructions on Inking/Stamping/Cleaning/Storing/Magnets, as well as several different Stamping Techniques.

Sue's Stamparatus Suggestions

On the back side I cut down a piece of our grid paper.

Benefits of the template:

  • Fits perfectly in the Stamparatus
  • Serves as a quick reference on how to use it and its many possibilities
  • Serves as an extra layer when using photopolymer stamps
  • Easy to clean

They loved it!

A shout out to Linda Heller, Stamping School, for her amazing YouTube videos on how to use the Stampartaus.  Many of her suggestions are listed here.  Thank you Linda for sharing!   I’m happy to share the instructions.

Happy stamping,

Christmas Wishes for Fab Friday 125

Love this week’s Fab Friday challenge.  Such a clean and simple sketch, just my style!  Take a look at their challenge:

Like a few of the designers, I immediately thought of Stampin’ Up!’s Quilt Bundle and made several cards using the beautiful Quilted Christmas DSP and this layout.  However, while creating those cards another type of quilt top popped into my head.  Take a look at my card I created for this challenge:

Fab Friday 125 Challenge

Fab Friday 125 Challenge

  • My Christmas Wishes this year – peace, cheer, love, and joy
  • The combination of Tranquil Tide, Pacific Point, and Pool Party are a nice alternative to traditional Christmas reds and greens

Enjoy and happy stamping,

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

A close friend and I have a birthday tradition of enjoying a Pumpkin Spice Latte each October.  Of course, when I saw Stampin’ Up!’s Merry Cafe stamp set I knew I had to get it!

Pumpkin Spice Latte Card for Debi-Edited

  • It’s easy to make a fall card using the coordinating Painted Autumn DSP
  • The Coffee Cup Framelits (from the annual catalog) make easy work cutting out the cup, lid, and wrapper

A fun set with lots of options.  Enjoy and happy stamping,

San Juan Sue

Autumn Greetings

October – cool nights, pumpkins, and leaves turning red, yellow, and orange.  Inspirations abound for this Autumn card:

Autumn Greetings

  • The Pick a Pumpkin bundle makes it easy to create a “crate” of fun and colorful pumpkins
  • Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, and Peek-a-Boo Peach are perfect colors for pumpkins
  • The Crushed Curry Color Theory DSP background completes the Autumn theme

Enjoy your Autumn,
San Juan Sue

Just for You!

Watercolors and coloring are the “in trend” now.  It’s easy to make a trendy card using Stampin’ Up!s Watercolor Words stamp set.

Just for You Watercolor Words

  • A simple watercolor background using Stampin’ Up!s watercolor pencils.  The color is blended using water and brush.
  • The “beachy” chair is from the new Seasonal Layers Thinlets.

Enjoy and happy stamping!

Daisy Bright

So, life happened the past 2 years since my last post. However, all is well and I’ve continued crafting throughout that time. To start fresh – here’s a card from one of my favorite sets in the new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! catalog – Daisy Delight.

There is a matching Daisy Punch to go with this set.  Unfortunately, it is currently not available so I created this card to show my friends/customers how cute and versatile this stamp set is even without the punch.

  • For a bright and cheerful daisy I stamped it twice – once using Peek-a-boo Peach and once using Calypso Coral
  • Other flowers and leaves were stamped using Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizzazz, with the sentiment stamped in Rich Razzleberry

Enjoy and happy stamping,
San Juan Sue

You’re Simply Wonderful for CCMC343

Today’s card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Create with Connie & Mary:

CCMC343 Sketch Challenge

Angles on cards are usually difficult me – I’m a straight-up kinda gal; however, this sketch encouraged me to move outside my comfort range and go for it.   It also allowed me to play with 2 new stamp sets I just received: Painted Petals and Simply Wonderful.  As you can see, I took a bit of liberty with the sketch and replaced the 3 dots with flowers.

  • Leaves and flowers from the Painted Petals stamp set are stamped in Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder.
  • A strip of washi tape adds a bright spot to the card.
  • The sentiment from the Simply Wonderful stamp set is stamped in Strawberry Slush and the small flower from the same set is colored with Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder markers and then stamped.
  • A panel of Wisteria Wonder and a banner of Strawberry Slush are added to a Daffodil Delight card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy, and happy stamping!

Cool Color Combination for CCMC342 Challenge

Today’s card was created for the Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge:

Cool Color Combination

A great color combination that is understated, yet beautiful.  Here’s my card:

  • Spring is on my mind – Hello Honey is the perfect color for a spring flower and what goes with flowers …
  • Butterflies, of course – A large butterfly using Basic Black and Hello Honey and a small Basic Black butterfly combine for additonal spring elements on the card.

I hope you’ve enjoyed a quick glance at spring.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy, and happy stamping,

Way to Go!

Today’s card was created for my friend who just received her doctorate – quite the accomplishment!    It was inspired by two challenges this week:

Create with Connie & Mary 338 Color Challenge:

and The Paper Players 228 Sentiments Challenge

Here’s my card:

Way to Go! For CCMC338 & PP228 Challenges

  • Way to Go! is front and center to serve as the focal point of this card.  Small washi tape banners at the bottom help emphasize this sentiment.
  • Background sentiments of “you did it” and “congratulations” are lightly stamped in Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral.

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy, and happy stamping!
